PHL CHED Connect  is a CHED website which contains higher education course materials in text, audio, and video format that are useful for teaching, learning and research purposes.

Bookboon provides a wide selection of free textbooks for college students on many different subjects. Books can be downloaded in PDF witihout registration.

OpenStax - All the books in the textbook collection are free to download and include subjects such as physics, biology, sociology, pre-calculus, history and more, and is available in multiple formats (including PDF and EPUB). 

Open Textbook Library are textbooks that have been funded, published, and licensed to be freely used, adapted, and distributed. The library currently includes 806 textbooks, with more being added all the time.

Project Gutenberg is a library of over 60,000 free eBooks. Choose among free epub and Kindle eBooks, download them or read them online. Texts are available in a number of languages, too, while there are also audiobooks, data compilations and even sheet music.

Internet Archive –  Internet Archive is a library of millions of free books, movies, software, music, websites, and more. It is a non-profit library founded in 1996 with a mission to provide “Universal Access to All Knowledge”, building a public library that can serve anyone in the world with access to the Internet. 

Open Library – The site is a project of the Internet Archive and is intended to create “one web page for every book ever published”. There are over 1,000,000 free ebook titles available. Most of the titles are public domain, but you can also find here a growing lending library of over 200,000 contemporary ebooks.

Wikibooks - A large collection of open content textbooks.

Saylor Academy is a repository of free and easily accessible textbooks, covering a large variety of subjects. Most textbooks are available in PDF, EPUB and Microsoft Word formats.

IntechOpen is one of the world’s largest publishers of free textbooks, has a wealth of textbook options and journals for computer science, robotics and other STEM subjects, with a collection of over 2,000 published textbooks and include an assortment of peer-reviewed journals to choose from.

Textbook Revolution primarily offers textbooks aimed at STEM students, although other subjects such as business and history are included. 

MIT Open Courseware - MIT OCW is a free and open publication of material from thousands of MIT courses, covering the entire MIT curriculum, degree program, and ranging from the introductory to the most advanced graduate level. Each OCW course includes a syllabus, some instructional material (such as lecture notes or a reading list), and some learning activities (such as assignments or exams). Many courses also have complete video lectures, free online textbooks, and faculty teaching insights.

SpringerOpen Books - Open access books in a variety of disciplines. It is an addition to the SpringerOpen Journal portfolio of articles in a wide range of areas within science, technology and medicine (STM).

SpringerOpen Journals - SpringerOpen journals are made freely and permanently available online immediately upon publication. They are subject to high-level peer review, author and production services ensuring quality and reliability of the work

Online Mathematics Textbooks - Publications listed on the site, ranges from introductory pre-calculus texts to abstract and complex works.

Asean Digital Library  - The ASEAN Digital Library is a regional project to aggregate and connect the digitized resources of National Libraries in the ASEAN region so that these repositories can be accessed through a single search facility.

Arxiv e-Print Archive  - arXiv is a free distribution service and an open-access archive for 1,700,000+ scholarly articles in the fields of physics, mathematics, computer science, quantitative biology, quantitative finance, statistics, electrical engineering and systems science, and economics.

BASE Bielefeld Academic Search Engine -  BASE is one of the largest search engines for academic web resources. BASE provides more than 100 million documents from more than 4,000 sources. About 60% of the indexed documents are Open Access and can be accessed for free.

CIA World Factbook - A useful research database for academics in a variety of disciplines. All the information is free to access, and it provides facts about every country in the world, including information about history, geography, transportation, and much more

Digital Library of The Commons - DLC is a multidisciplinary journal repository that allows users to check thousands of free and open access articles from around the world. The DLC provides full-text articles, papers, and dissertations.

Digital Public Library of America - DPLA is aimed at giving universal access to digital resources of American libraries, archives and museums.

Directory of Open Access Journals (DOJ)  provides access to open access, peer-reviewed journals.

Dryad is a digital repository of curated, open access scientific research.

Freelipiniana - A digital archive that gives Filipinos free access to reading materials made by Filipinos for Filipinos. These include full-length books, like novels, poetry collections, and anthologies.
